A bit about me and my 20 year jewellery career
It all began after I achieved a 1st Class BA (Hons) in 1994 and a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in 1997.
Since then I’ve achieved many things; highlights include gaining a Craftsmanship and Design Council gold award, becoming Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company, producing the film ‘For the Love of it’, taught at the world number 1 ranked RCA, opened a shop called DualPod, wrote a published book called Adorn: New Jewellery, and I’m currently an advisor on the Hatton Garden Business Improvement District (BID) steering group.
This brief insight illustrates a broad knowledgeable overview and strong track record of working in the jewellery sector : 20 years as a self-employed designer-make, 18 of which located in Hatton Garden. Therefore, Loupe is a culmination of my skills, experience, expertise, and networks gained over a 25 year career, and it could be viewed as a development rather than a start-up in the true sense of the word.
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever" Steve Jobs
